The Human Touch
It is hard to avoid the buzz around AI, it’s surge into the forefront of practically everything we do. How we work, how we communicate and how we plan is all re-enforced with AI and it’s far from robotic way of self-learning all controlled by coded algorithms. With AI, tasks both personal and professional are becoming more efficient.
So how can you, as the uniquely human person you are, use that to your advantage in the real working world?
Be creative
While we’ve seen AI move into creative spaces from image generation to written content, it still has limitations. AI creates by learning from existing data, not from lived experience, instinct, or emotion. Creativity, however, thrives on those very things.
Using your ability to think creatively to your advantage. Original ideas, emotional nuance, and imaginative leaps are still deeply human strengths.
You don’t have to be traditionally creative to think creatively. It’s about problem solving with a human touch.
Understand how AI can support the role you want
Don’t be afraid of AI, understand it. Use knowledge of it to enhance your work, not replace yourself.
Look for tools that support your role:
• AI generators that create frameworks for designers managing high volumes of visuals
• Tools that build presentation outlines or structure ideas
• Systems that organise and summarise data as an add-on to platforms like Excel
When used well, AI becomes a collaborator, not a competitor.
